I am looking to make the Corpse Bride (Emily) from the movie and need help on how to start.
Here are some of my questions
a. Should I start with a mannequin and build up from there. Is a mannequin weather proof?
b. Should I build a frame and use some thing like "Magic Mud" to create the body?
c. Where may I get cheap material that looks like a bridal dress to dress her?
Thanks for any help in advance

A) I'm no expert on mannequins, but I would weather-proof it, just in case. (If I could get my hands on one
)
B) Terra has a neat step-by-step process she posted here when she made her lifesize "Terra" prop. I'll get you the link if that's something you'd be interested in.
C) A lot of people have been so lucky as to find wedding dresses cheap at yard sales. Go hunting around on Saturday mornings. Spring is one the busiest times of the year for yard sales.
Did the best I could.
