Ok, so I'd love to make a three axis skull but I have no idea where to start. I have NO experience what so ever in this field but would love to learn. I have until next halloween which should be more than enough time. Any suggestions on a good place for a beginner to start learning? Either that or could someone point me in the direction of a very in depth guide so I can figure it out from there?
Thanks,
MattMacLean

Do a search on this forum. At the top right of the forum, click "Search", then under the drop-down, click "Advance" (under search, not blogs) - type in "axis" in the keywords search - I'd select "Search Titles Only"... and away you go. You should have SEVERAL pages of forum members who have either created 3-axis or at least inquired about and received answers (as well as some great tutorials, pictures, and links).

Thanks DeadTed, I am aware of the search button, and it's function. I have used it, however I can't seem to find where to start. These are my main questions at the moment:
What supplies do you need to start?
What controls the servos?
Where can I but servos?
What is the general cost of making one 3 axis skull?
Is there something easier I could start with instead of a 3 axis skull until I get used to it?
Thanks,

Another good forum is EFX-TEK
EFX-TEK builds prop automation boards. Their prop forums are extensive and an excellent resource. Good luck!

Here's that link I was mentioning. It helped me understand a lot. I want to build one myself someday.

I can't post a link, stupid IE7, but going with what alucard said , Halloween Bob has opened Graveyard skulls where they sell the 3 axis kits and have a forum that helps explain the ins and outs of building the 3-axis skull. The address is graveyardskulls.com hope this helps.
