Okay...so we've all seen these things in the stores. They are super cheesy and expensive. Someone on here has to know how to make on eof these. I'm talking about the large 5" tall LED or LCD numbers that count down the days, hours, minutes and seconds to a specific date....in our case....Halloween. I can find the display. But, I'm wondering what they use to program the numbers and make them work. I'm assuming a microcontroller and some software. Any ideas?

Really? No one knows how they do this? Huh.....guess I need to do some more research.
