    Hello all,
I was interested in making a rocking chair move on its own, rocking back and forth. I'm not sure if i'll keave it empty or put a skeleton in it. It seems like it would be easy to hook up but im not mechanically inclined....

Awesome! Thank you! Hmm... Do you suppose that works with a real rocking chair?

I think Putrid did that with a rocking chair... wasn't that you Putrid? Well, someone did it. I will see if I can find the post.

I used the rotate part of an old fan motor to rock my rocking chair with a witch. The witch is about 30lbs, and the motor rocked her pretty well. Since it was "back-and-forth" part of the motor, I just screwed on a wedge that would slide under the back of the chair and push it forward and up. Worked well, and it was pretty quiet.

Here'sa pic, you can see the witch on the porch.
