Default transparent fabric idea...

I have an idea to use some sort of clear, see through fabric and hang a 6 foot piece from a tree in the front yard. I want to draw a ghost on it using some sort of UV paint or hairspray, etc, and then put a black spot light pointing at it. My hope is that I can come up with a ghost effect that glows with the UV, but has a see through effect by using some kind of transparent fabric. With the wind blowing, I'm hoping it will 'animate' the ghost.

Has anyone tried something like this? Can anyone recommend any type of fabric to do this? The fabric would need to probably be dark colored and not UV reactive.

I would recommend a trip to the fabric dept. at Walmart or any fabric store. Your best bet would be black or dark gray 'tulle." That is the netting type material used for bridal veils and things like that. It would be see through in the dark, or at least somewhat invisible.

You could do the ghost shape with glow in the dark hairspray or glow in the dark spraypaint. That would give a very whispy apparition effect too.

That should work perfect. I'll stop by the local Jo-Anns tonight. If they don't have what I'm looking for, I found some in Black on ebay for a really cheap price. I'll post pics if it works out. Thanks!
