    Just let me see!

I made a few more and cleaned them up with photosop. I did it, well because today I'm at work and that means I get paid to.

[QUOTE=dubbax3;512735]The other day I was bored and scanning some photos. Well long story short I scanned my whole head. Most scanners start from the right side so after you hit the scan button put your right ear on the glass and slowly rotate your head/face the same speed as the scanner. By the time your done you'll have scanned your entire face. Roll it up and put it in a bottle. I'm at work today so I dont have the file with me I'll post it tomorrow.

Oh my gosh that is so funny, Im trying to control my laughing here at work. I know what my next project will be. Although I think I will find someone else to stick their head in the scanner or use yours. Thanks!!!

had some troubles with this! If you have some good advice I'd appreciate it.
    1) getting the hair to go outside the 'cutout' was almost impossible. It just didn't want to go there without messing up the photo
    2) the bottom part, you can see where the 'photo' and the jar meet. it needs to be more fluid.
    3) same as #1, the back part so hard to get the hair to cover the part that is cut out. I would like for the back part to seem like the hair, but then again, the hair is so hard to get 'around' the photo.

but in the end, it's ok..

    any advice?

    thanks,

    Todd

oh did I mention, I spent about an hour, and pulled the photo and hair out about 10 times, almost to the point of ruining the whole thing!! LOL... maybe practice makes perfect...I'll try another one....*smile*

You could try laminating the paper that way you can tape the hair on the inside. If you dont like the way it falls re-adjust. As for the bottom not blending....not sure, maybe cut it to make it look like its severed, throw some crimson paint on the neck, or weather the bottom with some paint. I'd have to see the bottle.

    hey, Todd.

I'm the guy who originally created the head in a jar prop. (not that it means anything....)

Anyway, a detail that almost everyone neglects, is to use an old jar that has colored glass. My original creation was in a green bottle. You're likely to find one in an a resale store or antique shop for a few bucks.

The image quality won't come through as well in the colored glass, but it hides all of the flaws. And the lack of total transparency makes it even creepier and mysterious.
