I am fumbling around trying to create bodies for 1 of my rooms. I would like 10 or so hangin from the ceiling by meat hooks and chains. The have to be pretty tough as I'm wanting the people to walk thru them. Any ideas?

I have a rum like this in are Haunt. What I did was make chicken wire bodies and then dressed them in real clothes and added a cheap mask bloodied them up a bit and they were good to go I also have foam body parts that I make that we also hang.

And that's really not a bad price for the medium dummy. I may have to look into getting a couple myself.

I would carve them out of foam, that way they don't have to be clothed. Or better yet, If you have some friends , kids, co-workers you could talk into life-casting, then you could make molds of the parts you wanted, and cast you own using latex and expanding foam. There are some good tutorials on life casting on the Monster List.

OMG!! I wish I would have found this earlier!! And the med duty is so cheap! I'm trying out the PVC pipe this year. I'll compare the cost but I think I'd much rather have these!

Those stuffit dummies would be cheap and easy to make. Would just need buy some cheap fabric and have someone lay on it the trace all the around there body then cut the pattern out and sew them together then stuff.

I dont have a sewing machine and sure not gonna sew it by hand but I will just use a staple gun lol

With all the fabric you'd need to make yourself one it'll be a lot more expensive, trust me! And you'd need a heavier material that will stand up to the weather. I sew a great deal and I used to work in a fabric store. Absolutely not a value trying to make one yourself. I just made my 10 yr old an Obi-Wan (Star Wars) costume and I dished out over $100.

I bought some fabric from a flea market type place they have tons of it. I paid around 8 bucks for 2yards x 8 yards. Its fairly decent I use to make The Strangers mask. I thought the OP had mentioned he needed bodies for inside props so weather wouldnt play a factor into what fabric he used.

I picked up a Jedi Uniform this summer for my son at disney land as that is what he decided he was going as for halloween, well now he has changed his mind and is going as jason voorhees. lol
