Attaching it to the corner would depend on how heavy the prop turns out to be. If it's not too heavy you could use plant hooks and just screw them into the wall/ceiling. If it's heavier then you can get the bigger hooks. Just make sure you camouflage the hooks really well.

As far as web shooters; I have the kind that uses rubber cement and the kind that uses hot melt glue. The rubber cement shooter creates ULTRA-realistic webs. They are awesome! The only problem is they are only good for indoor use. And keep candles/open flame away from them! Even the "special" fluid(rubber cement) that has flame retardant in it flames up...don't ask!
The hot melt glue is a really good web from 5 feet or more. They are excellent for outdoor use and for use on props where you want the webs to stay.
I have used both shooters on paint, wood stain, clear coat and other surfaces with no ill affects. The rubber cement webs pretty much wipe right off, windex helps even more.
The hot glue comes off but there are some times where you have to rub it off. But it comes off pretty easy.

Yep I thought it was pretty cool when he posted pics the first time around..

here is a tip for the Forum: Up at the top of the screen you will see on the right hand side a search function click on that and type in key words like ' spider victim '
and anyone who posted anything about that topic will pop -up. Enjoy Hugs Blinky

Thanks for taking the time to provide such an indepth answer, Killer. I really appreciate it - especially the difference between the two types of guns.

I made a spider victim last year that came out pretty good. I used a blow up sex doll you buy at an adult book store. I stuffed it with pillow stuffing (Batting). If you don't the doll will deflate over time..
Then I attached a more realistic human face on it. A decent Halloween mask will work too.. Then I spray glued it and wrapped it in cheesecloth.... Then more glue and halloween cobwebs. until it looked decent.
Then I finished it off with watered down acrylic paints for color.

Our spider victim is made of my husband's old clothes. We stuffed him with plastic grocery bags (one way to recycle!), one fake foot (doesn't look too fake once you stretch the webs across it) and one of those styrofoam wig heads that I got at the local beauty supply store. We gouged out the mouth and eyes and sprayed the indentations gray. Once it gets all wrapped up with the web, it looks pretty good. We also sprayed some gray intermittently throughout the web to give it an aged look and we also dripped some dark red here and there. Worked good enough that no one wanted to get too close to him!

--thanks for the video link of the sideways spider victim. That looks great. And I did a search and found his explanation that he used a shiatsu massager inside.
My Spider Victim
I wish I had one to use...maybe I'll try some other smaller massagers.
