trying to figure out how to make a jack in the box prop with a clown popping out
i just need to know how to make the top open with my clown prop pop out at the same time

The simplest way is to attach a small stick/rod to the back of the head pointing, straight up and slightly above the top of the head. Then all the weight/wear will be on the stick rather than your more expensive head.
