Thread: led eyes

I have several props that I want to light the eyes on. I need some ideas as to what to make the eyes out of so I can light them. Most of my props have wig-heads for...well...heads

I used plain LED's from Radio Shack. I cut the holw for the wire straight thru the head and hide the batteries in the back of it. Looked awesome at night. Also, An LED in a ping pong ball works well.

Here's a couple of pics of some LED eyes I did.






The eyes are sets of three flashing red LEDs that give off a pulsing effect.





I made they eyes by pouring holt melt glue into a small spoon as a mold. I used cooking spray as a release agent. I then glued yellow LEDs to the back of each "eyeball". I'd like to take credit for the hot melt glue LED eye idea but its not mine. Here's a link to the page I found. Awesome site for LEDs.
