    Maybe I missed it, but how are the props you have triggered now? Manual, push-button types can be easily "converted." Forum member Halstaff has done some fantastic R&D on simple controllers, see his posts. If build-it-yoursef is not your thing, you can buy ready to use controllers, but they cost more. Either route is not overly daunting to a new prop builder and there is a wealth of information in this forum.
    Nostalgia isn't what it used to be...

    I only have store-fresh animatronics with their own built in motion sensors.

    You should be able to cut the leads from that motion detector and attach them to any other type of activating device, such as a pressure mat or any controller via a relay.
    Nostalgia isn't what it used to be...
