any ideas on how to make a flashlight that will stay on, flicker, turn off?

I have seen cheap ones for sale at walmart but dont last long and has sound and monstertronix has a way to expensive version.

I think I remember reading about using a radio band frequency to make the light flicker...Can't seem to find the post though. Had to do with using an fm transmitter and ...ah I don't remember! sorry.

Yeah it was a simple light organ built into the casing of the flashlight that also housed a mini fm radio which was tuned to a specific frequency. The mini radio was connected to the light organ with a steady inaudible sound that would power the light. Most likely a custom recorded sound played through the FM transmitter. The radio signal would then be adjusted at anytime the remote operator chooses to cause the flashlight to fail. Really neat effect! I think the commercially available version uses a different technology though.
