I think I'm gonna have to give up. I can't get the wiper motor to work. There is really no other alternative I can think of for power - and like I said, we have no halloween stores here. Anyway thank you for your help, I appreciate it.

Do you have one of these?

If so, it's perfect for an back and forth, (translate to up and down stabbing) motion. I am unsure as to how much weight it can take, but in theory it should work!

No, like I said no halloween stores and nowhere I can get anything like that. I basically need to build something from scratch with parts etc from Australia. Thanks anyway.

Pumpkinzilla,
Don't give up, its just getting good!
Now, you are getting nothing to the motor? You are connecting the ground to the wiper motor case? (I made that mistake on a kicking legs prop)

I dont want to give up - I will need to rethink. Maybe if I can find another kind of battery, 12v and connect the negative and positive wires until I get some movement then I will be on the right track. I bought a new battery but nothing happens. The thing is I need a basic a b c i.e. connect this to this (get the picture?). Maybe one of you guys could swing by country Australia and give a demo??

Have you seen what is available in Australia on Ebay? If you are talking about o/seas - the postage to get it here is far too much. I only wanted to start from scratch as I thought it was my only option. What about a rotisserie motor? Would that work?
