I saw a video of a Jigsaw prop on a tricycle. The tricycle would move about 4 feet forward, then back. Can someone do a tutorial on how to make the tricycle move forward and back? I guess getting it to just go in a circle would work, too. I can make Jigsaw, just need help on moving the trike.

I think this has been done. Did you try searching the prop forum? I believe it was with a wiper motor...

I've tried searching and can't find it. I saw a You Tube video of it, but it didn't tell how. Now I can't even find the You Tube video.

You could probably take an RC cars motor and attach it to trike. That way you could control where it went, how fast and it would be creepy. Those things have quite the range on them so you could go down your block and back.
What would be awesome if you did that, and then went past your house, stopped, and was able to make the head turn to the kids. Now THAT would be scary.

Billman - That is one creepy prop! Is that home grown? I would like to see how that was done.

I was thinking of using some type of DC motor, possible a wiper motor. The only problem I have, and I know there's a way to do it, is how to make it so it will reverse after so many revolutions (or distance).

I did something similar with a ghost prop. I used a wiper motor, this DC motor controller http://www.parallax.com/StoreSearchR...4/Default.aspx and an EFX-TEC prop-1 controller board. I programmed the prop-1 to make the motor real out a line from a dead stop to eventual full speed for 8 seconds, slow to a stop and then reverse. There are extensive how-to's and code available on the EFX-TEC forums. They'll even write the code for you if you tell them exactly what you want the prop to do. You'll also need 2 power supplies: One to power the prop-1 and a big (3 amp or better) one to power the wiper motor. I used an ATX power supply.
