Thread: Fog machine recommendations

I'm changing this thread to review the fog machines that I purchase and I welcome anyone else to do the same.

Well I got two fog machines from target and even though I'm not that familiar with these things I'll go ahead and post a short review... eventually.

All ratings shall be 1 to 10, 1 being the wurst possible and 10 being the best possible

Noise level: 1 being a F-16 taking off from a runway 10 being a kittens purr.
Charge up time: How long the initial warm up is 1 being watching paint dry 10 being almost instantaneous.
Recharge time: The time it takes for the fogger to warm up again.
Size and shape: The size being obvious also take into consideration how easy the shape is to hide somewhere, 1 being tiny 10 being gigantic and oddly shaped.
Spray time: How long it can spray continuously until it needs to warm up.
Reliability: How often it breaks down or needs maintenance.

Target Ground Fogger (can't find any serial numbers to identify it better)

Specs:
400 watts
1,500 CFM (I doubt its that high but hey, what is the indistry standard?)
16" long - 8" high - 9" wide
9.75 pounds

Noise level: 8/10
Charge up time: 6/10
Recharge time: 6/10
Size and shape: 5/10
Spray time: 6/10
Reliability: 10/10
Overall score: 6.83


Pros: Very quiet, I can barely hear any 'spraying' sound. A nice sleek black design with a carrying handle. It has it's own compartment for whatever kind of ice or ice pack to keep the fog cold and low. Works great with Froggy's.

Cons: It's rather long for a 400 watt machine and will make it somewhat hard to hide. The 'ice' compartment is small therefor whatever you put in there melts or warms quickly. The website says it includes a timer remote but only comes with the manual wired switch.

Final thoughts: Good first buy but the ice compartment is slightly disapointing. I would rather have saved the $20 and just got the regular fogger and made my own fog chiller.
