As originally posted, I ended up with a craptastic mask to start with, but after contacting Tate, he made right on my purchase. I was VERY happy with the replacement mask, however, after seeing some other masks that people have received this past year, and the same excuse of the "bad employees" it is VERY unlikely I will place an order again from him. I work for a pretty large haunted house, and buy a bunch of masks each year for the haunt, and my personal collection. I would rather spend the extra money and buy from CFX, or Immortal Masks, and get a consistent product. Its sad because when Tate personally makes the makes they turn out pretty darn good.
Here's some of Tate's masks done RIGHT:

Ill Willed Masks and Products –

Hey Glocknik. I def get it guys. Obviously at one time I was a collector myself....I still am. As Glocknik knows, when I personally become involved I make it right. It was quite a struggle for me to trust things to operate up to my standards while Im away on set. Obviously it was a spotty result. Once this came to my attention via customers and some things I saw upon my return I DID make a drastic decision. First I replaced those artists. Second, I have not since left for a film set during months of shop operation. I have literally put my FX career on hold to get things solid with Ill Willed Studios. Im in the shop, looking at every piece that goes out. I made the conscious decision that my company was not yet at a point that I could allow to run independently in my absence, and things have turned around dramatically. We have a near completely reworked system of Operating Procedures, new more durable materials, and EVERY piece that goes out goes by my desk before shipment. We are also implementing a series of product test videos to me made available to the public, so you can watch your product in action before purchase. On another note, do please consider that we have a tremendous volume, and typically customers are very happy and return often. So to those of you who were not delivered that level of quality, my offer to redeem a free mask with me stands. Send me a photo of yourself with your subpar merch and I will personally send you a replacement signed by me so there is no B.S...lol Lastly, to anyone who has read or participated in this thread I will make the following offer....print off this specific response for 25% off a purchase with Ill Willed. I want everyone in this industry to feel comfortable that the bad ass photographs of my personal work will be exactly as bad assed when you open your package. Im right here available for discussion and make things right, as Ill Willed Studios goes into its 2nd year in 2012. Our new product line is going to blow you all away. Thanks for your understanding and Happy Haunting.

Tate - It's great to see you step up and take responsibility for the merchandise that bears your name and company name. I have ordered from you in the past the "Zombie Pig" and I know we went around and around about the shape it was in when it arrived to me, and even though we never got it fully "Fixed" you worked on trying to find a solution to the issue and I respected that.
Hoping to see things turn around for your studios reputation in 2012 - You have some awesome work and I hope that's the stuff that reaches your customer from this point forward.

No problem Joe. I have a product line that is fantastic and I am so proud of, so to have defects go out is ultimately frustrating. Im debuting the new line of things in March this year, each piece has been mass produced over the passed 8 months allowing us to troubleshoot beyond any future issues with the products. I look forward to everyones comments about the new line, and thanks for the faith Joe. Im here because I love monsters, and making them. Thanks to all for understanding that our first year has set a great stage for our second. Best, and happy haunting to all.
