Default Firefly/ Haunted House in a Box by Lights Alive

Has anyone any experience with either the FireFly Lightning Controller or the Haunted House in A Box setups from Lights Alive?

It looks like the Firefly is comparble to the I-Zombie lightning controllers. The Haunted House in a Box supposedly controls lights, sounds etc. Their descriptions and write up make them look awfully good.

However, I was wondering if anyone has had any practical experience?

Not yet, but I'm thinking of investing... We do Christmas up in a big way too with lots of lights. My DH is thinking it would be fun to try out the controller for Halloween and then try it with the radio freq controller as well to play music.

I bought the FF 201 this year and was quite impressed. I remember looking at IZombie but there was some complication around getting one to Canada and the reseller up here was charging way more than the IZombie website.

The FireFly was the most expensive thing I bought this year for our haunt but it did a great job. We had a party in the garage and used one channel to make lightning outside with a few outdoor spotlights and used the other track to dim the lighting inside.
For Halloween night I just hung 5 halogen spotlights in the trees and adjusted the threshold dial on the firefly to give us enough light so the haunt looks good. I struggle with lights every year. I want just enough so you can see the horror without being too bright and spoiling it.
I also bought an old 4 speaker amplifier (remember bigger is better) and spaced out 4 speakers up in the trees. The light and sound could be seen and heard way down the street. It was the best effect I have done.
I used the CD that comes with the FireFly and jammed together way more lightning strikes, then I put it on an MP3 player and repeated the same track.
I would recommend this product to anyone who is serious about putting on a good haunt.
Steve Peterka at Lights Alive took my order in person and did a great job getting the product to me in Canada.
