Very cool about Window fx upcoming products. I like that they are sourcing from numerous vendors (Hallowindow, Jon Hyers, etc) and a few of their own stuff as well. I think the next logical step up is to go 480p on their native resolution, perhaps with a hdmi input as well. They'll probably keep the original projector as their base model but I think to keep below $100, 480p is likely the next option.

Going with either a dlp or a resolution higher than 480p probably prices them out of the home depot market share they currently have. I also wonder if they will sell a version of their product at Lowes, perhaps just repackaged differently or have other videos instead fo the home depot version.

Of course the real problem (and why many of us were able to secure so many items during the 75% off sale) was the fact that Home Depot totally blew it trying to market this item. Instead of putting it right dead center of all of their Halloween/Xmas items they put it on an end cap near the entrance. Most people ended up ignoring it or not thinking it was a suitable addition to their decoration. Perhaps next year they'll learn and showcase it in a better location. But if doesn't work, more cheap projectors for me come Jan 2, 2018 :-)

I was told they are working to expand into a few other stores. She said nothing has been finalized yet for this year.

We talked a bit and I did mention that a number of people here on HF had commented that they didn't think the HD display was very effective and that people said there were quite a few units left even after Christmas. She said she was surprised because they sold out at most locations and people were calling and asking where they could still find it. Now I wasn't in HD but a few quick trips back in Sept/Oct time frame to see the prop displays and to pick up online orders (at least didn't notice it at my store but I was kind of focused on certain things when I went in) so don't know but were you guys all seeing it set up on a totally dedicated end cap? I read you saw it that way Victor-eyd, and apparently that is how it was supposed to be displayed in the stores. Kind of surprised I totally missed noticing it. Well I think from my phone call the company was happy with how sales went, i.e. how it was set up.

I also mentioned that people here have commented on having problems with the tripod standing upright and supporting the unit especially in the horizontal mode. She said she had heard of a few issues with that from users and that people may have been spreading the legs apart too far and they were meant to be like shown in their video. She said I was the first call she knew of where the tripod got stuck in the unit. Lucky me. I have one more unit I picked up earlier this week to still test out so will be crossing my fingers. Despite my tripod issues I do have to say I think it's a good price point even at retail price and does a nice job. Now to decide what to do with them this year! Definitely will be running projections the week leading up to halloween.

This is timely advice to everyone who has bought one or more of the these projectors during the big sell off of 2016. Please check that they are working properly. I;m in the middle of testing all of the projectors i bought and and at least one of them has a bad power supply. The projector itself works correctly (used another power supply to check). Just fyi

So it did not turn on with the box power supply? I have been testing them too. But I just go as far as plugging and turning on.

Update: Katie from Product Works, the people who make the windowfx projector, sent me a replacement power supply for my projector. Great customer service and thanks Katie for all of your help and insight.

We elected to have it play all six videos then went outside and stood in the street a house away. Some of the videos are clearer, the Frankenstein with the candy bowl was particularly bright as it was more of a shadow effect. The Jack o Lanterns also showed up well.
It is not fancy by any means and not real bright. However we also did not notice any bright light in the room from having a too bright projector.
I did hear the fan but paid no mind to it. I live in a house with alot of old, noisy items. I figure fan noise means it's keeping it cool.
Anyways, it will be upstairs in a closed room so it wont be heard.
As we set the unit to cycle trough all six videos on the SD card we were able to watch them as they transitioned. I really didnt notice a pause. We just stood outside and watched as one video turned into the next one.
You select the videos you want to play by using the remote to aim at the unit while the six different images are lit up on a wall and either "check" or "uncheck" the ones you want to play
I did not notice a timer. I will look at the booklet and the unit and let you know. Wish I could be of more help
. I think what Ghost of Spookie is trying to say if it has auto loop And does in between each video does it have a black screen for a second and then goes on to the next video in the playlist.

Well i wish i could have found these projectors at these prices. I am currently looking on Amazon and ebay for inexpensive projectors. Also looking at craigs list. I have on old projector i used last year but it is really short throw. I am looking for two or three projectors. hope i can find them. I have so many projectors for this year. I am already working on them.
