Ok, I admit it, I have a flashlight fetish.
I'm always looking at flashlights and new tech around flashlights. Then again, I'm also a cheap bastard. Anyway, I found a nice LED flashlight at Home Depot on clearance. It was $7 bucks. The thing about it is that not only is it metal, and has a white LED beam (7 LEDs), it also has 6 UV LEDs. I've tested their UV-ness and they're very bright. I was thinking at the very least it's a good one to use as a directional UV LED source for a prop. I don't know how long the batts would last, but probably all night ok. Might be good as an outside black light as it's fairly rugged....and hey, only 7 bucks. YMMV.

It's Store SKU # 199319. It's 9.98 online, but look at the front of the store in the clearance bins.

My favorite used to be the River Rock mini 0.5w flashlight from Target, but they don't sell those anymore. The color anodized aluminum flashlights from Office Depot are pretty bright vs other 9-LED white flashlights (such as Harbor Fright's free-every-week-with-coupon ones) for $5 ($3 on sale). I do like the bigger, brighter multi-wattaged flashlights that take C or D batteries but they tend to be too expensive for me, I really can't justify a $50 flashlight so the multi-light ones are better. Anything more than 9 LEDs that takes AA or AAAs tend to eat the batteries real fast though.
