Okay, so I spent several days months ago hunting down and picking out the perfect apothecary jars to display crawly creatures, etc on my mantle. Just tonight (two days before my party, mind you) the picture frame that was hung above my mantle fell down and destroyed everything. 5 of my 6 apothecaries, as well as my black candlesticks...and of course the frame/glass for my spooky halloween picture. I'm so bummed. I guess the only good thing is that it fell tonight and not while the party was going on!!! Just feeling deflated now.

    That sucks!!!!!

    Apothecary jars are really expensive

There may be an unknown apothecary jar curse because we bought some 2 years ago and they broke on the way home from the store

Luckily, it didn't happen during the party

    I hope you feel better!!!!!

Yeah, sometimes those things happen but it is better than having it happen at your party.

Sorry to hear that. Michaels Crafts does has some interesting glass containers for a reasonable price. If your in a rush & need something cheap to replace them... a case of glass Mason jars might work. They sell them in pints, quarts, etc. almost anywhere retail.

You can also buy fake labels with gruesome ingredients to put on mason jars or wine bottles. Spirit store, I think. That stinks when that stuff happens. One time, a long time ago I was expecting my boss for dinner , and my puppy jumped on the couch and puked all over it.

Oh no! I feel your pain. On a smaller scale, as soon as I finished cleaning and decorating our bathroom, hours before our party, I dropped a green halogen bulb that shattered everywhere...Argggh! Maybe that gets the bad karma out of the way so everything else will be smooth sailing
