I have to give many thanks to the people on here! I used so many ideas and altered them to fit my theme and everything was perfect! We played "Test your Fate" by having them draw spiders (our Theme was Arachnaphobia). Black spiders were bad / white spiders were good. If you drew black you had to commit a cardnial sin. I had a poster board with 6 of the 7 deadly sins and the throw of a dice determined which one they commited and how. The white spiders were rewards and the same dice throw would determine what they got. It was a huge hit! We also played the grim reaper game (with a slight twist) and had SO MUCH fun watching everyone at the party die all night! Every person (all 28) got into it completely! Thank you again to everyone! We plan to have one again next year!!! I'm happy to share more game details if anyone is interested.

That's awesome! Glad it went well. I am having my first annual (hopefully if all goes well) Halloween Party this weekend. I have gotten some great ideas from this forum. We are planning to play the wink murder game. I am assuming this is the same as the Grim Reaper game you played? I would love to hear more details of what you did once they died. Did you do anything to make it clear that they died (other than their performance). I am using the toe tag idea from Peniwize. I was thinking of having them tie it around their ankle after they die and maybe having the "killer" tie one around their ankle after a bit so it's not obvious who the "killer" is. Or should I not do anything? Just wondering how you played it.
I think we will are trying the pictionary game too. Next year I would like to try Test Your Fate-I love your twist on it with spiders.

We didn't do anything this time to mark the dead, but the Reaper did a great job remembering who he killed and with the great performances it was hard not to remember each one! Instead of winking, b/c it was dark, the Reaper whispered "don't fear the reaper" in everyone's ear. He went undetected the entire party and his prize was a movie pass, popcorn and candy LOL.

Have fun this weekend! I'm sure it will be great!

I really like the idea of drawing the different colored spiders. Which sin did you leave out? Would you mind telling some of the instructions & rewards, also?

That was smart (& funny) to have the Grim Reaper whisper, also, so no one misses the fact that they were just murdered!

Sure, I would love to share!
The 6 Sins I used were: Greed, Lust, Pride, Wrath, Envy and Gluttony (I left off Sloth). For Greed the guests had to take something valuable from 4 guests or die trying. Lust, you had to beg 3 people for a kiss on the cheek but beware you could suffer a death blow to the face! Pride, you could avoid this sin by humiliation - leading the party in the theme song The Adams Family. Wrath, you had to have 3 party guests spank the wrath out of you, so you no longer felt the need to take it out on others. Envy, you wanted to be as beautiful as the person to your left, so you had to yell into a mirror 5x, "I AM BEAUTIFUL" so all could hear, or you would die an ugly fool. And Gluttony, you had to drink from the spider venom (Vodka shot) and if you survived you would be free of your gluttonous ways.

The rewards were: Luck, Wealth, Beauty, Spirit, Wisdom and Love. For Luck, you had the luck of the Irish and got a drink on the house. So they got a mini liquor bottle. For Beaty, The party had to cat-call and whistle at you and tell you how hot you were. Wealth, they got to test their fate with a game of chance. May your scratches me fruitful not painful tonight... they got a lottery ticket. Wisdom, the person to their left had to give them a piece of advice to get them through the rest of the party successfully. Love, you had to pinch the butt of the person you came with and tell them you love them. If you came alone, proceed with the person to your left . Spirit, your spirits are high, show how spunky you are by dancing with the person to the right of you.

These were all chosen by a roll of the dice.

Yes, that's a very original take on tempt your fate. Thanks for sharing it. Gave me some ideas for our hell themed party using the seven sins.

Great modifications of Tempt Your Fate. Sounds like a great party. Do you have pics?

MsMeeple, this will be a great addition to your theme too.
