Yes, definately use a fog machine outside rather than inside. For lighting I went to Ace and bought the 5 spotlight holder pack and bought blue, green, red spotlights (par 38) accenting the tombstones.

i got 5 fog machines, n all of them say not to use outdoors.
if the weather is bad i think it may destroy the machine, but if its nice ouside i assume it is safe to use, can u confirm that?

Don't forget to check your electrical cord situation. Ace has a 5 pack for $21. Comes with $40 foot cord and 8 ft. between spotlights. Or you can get the individual ones as well.

Walmart had their colored spotlights on sale for $5 yesterday (atleast in my area)

We're using a fog machine outside for our cemetary scene. Works great!

They're fine to use outdoors. You will find that the fog drifts up, though. Check the props thread, and next year, you might look into making a fog chiller.

Outdoor use is fine. The only problem is if it rains, or dew starts to form in the later hours. You can protect the fog machine by putting it under a bit of cover, but make sure it's not near anything flammable.

A fog chiller is great for outside use, and they are pretty easy to build.
