Each year I hold a Halloween party for my children. I make a haunted house and the children are taken through a small group at a time. The problem is that we approximately 60-70 children each year, so whilst they wait their turn - and to keep them all under control - they are entertained by yours truly. Last year, I conducted a funeral service for my late husband to whom I had only been married for an hour before his untimely demise. Does any-one have any other ideas how I can entertain the children without getting them over excited, over active and can be interrupted regularly whilst each new group is collected for their turn in the haunted house. Any advice would be gratefully received. Happy Halloween. x

Dress as a fortune teller and have a fortune teller table. Give palm readings or gaze into a crystal ball to tell their fortunes. Crystal balls are easy to make. There are several threads on her with wonderful fortunes you can give to them.
Make them play Tempt Your Fate.

Tell them a ghost story about the haunted house they are waiting to visit....and how there's a ghost who doesn't like children who don't behave??? hahaha
But seriously....a good ghost story....told in a soft voice with dramatic touches...will get the attention of even the most active child.
