Any last-minute advice/tips for those of us who have parties tomorrow night?

I'm feeling ok, but you know how things always get in the last hours before the party.

Also, just as a side note.. I think this may be my last party for a few years. Last year I said I wouldn't do another, but here I am. But this year I mean it. I'll be moving a few hours away for college next year, and I know I won't have the time, money, or heart to go into planning and executing a big Halloween party. I do, however, plan on having a small Halloween get-together. Maybe I'll finally have a dinner party! To be quite honest, I'm just plain tired of making party food every year. I want to try something new.

I'm kind of glad this will be my last one. I really shouldn't have even done one this year. It just takes up so much of my October and I can't really enjoy it. My parties have been hits every other year anyway. So taking a year or two off should be a good thing.

I was looking for the same thing. My party starts in 11 hours and I'm feeling anxious.

Make a schedule of when you need to start cooking each dish. You'll find that you'll probably need to start at least two hours before party start time. Also, have all the servers, platters, spoons, ladles, etc. laid out ahead of time.

Most importantly, take pictures of your decor before people start arriving. You'll be too busy running around and will forget.

Try to fit in a quick power nap in the early afternoon...

Totally agree about the pics before people start getting there - I forget EVERY TIME.

    Good luck!!

Pictures! If this is your last for a while, remember to enjoy it. Don't worry about cleaning as much as just tidying - you will have a mess to really clean tomorrow and people don't care (on that note, make sure your bathroom is clean and stocked)
