Ok, so I planned our halloween party on Sat. the 30th as usually our town changes trick or treat to sat. when Halloween falls on a Sunday. Usually we decorate the backyard like a yard haunt and invite family, neighbors and friends. All the kids go trick or treating then come back to the house for goodies and to hang out. While we're gone the grandparents/parents pass out candy and have people walk through the yard haunt.
Well this year our town just announced it will keep trick or treat on Sunday. Of course my party is already planned for Sat. So since there will be not trick or treating and probably not a lot of costumes, how do I turn this into a party? I will have decorations, music, pizza/snacks and people. Do I just rely on the fact everyone will mingle?
Aw that sucks - especially announcing it so late!
Could you perhaps do 2 parties? i.e your main one on the Saturday but then do one for the kiddies on the Sunday, more low key? You could keep all the treats for the Sunday as well and am sure there will be other folks who have pre-organised it for the Sat who will be in the same boat?
