Thread: Name that psychosis!

Since our haunt is an insane asylum that has been taken over by the patients theme this year, we've decided to play a game we're going to call "Name that Psychosis!"

What we're going to do is hand out an "admittance package" to everybody as they enter the party. In this package they will have a few toe tags, maybe a piece of candy or something, a paper bracelet with a patient number on it and a tiny notebook.

The package will also include a paper that tells them what psychosis they are suffering from. They will be instructed to keep their psychosis to themselves, except that they can and should act it out throughout the party. Then, as others see them do the things that are associated with that psychosis, they can make a note of the person's patient number and what they think the psychosis is. (Patients diagnosing other patients. )

Later in the party, we will then see who diagnosed the most people correctly, and they will get the prize. (We may have to come up with something funny to do for the people who are too shy or uptight to act out their psychosis, funny but not overly embarrassing, of course)

Anyway! What I need now is some help with what psychoses we can give them to act out. I'll list a few that we have to give you an idea and if you guys come up with any other ideas for this I'd REALLY appreciate the help!

Here's what we have so far:
Terettes (sp?) - the involuntary shouting profanity part of it
You think your best friend is a 7 foot tall invisible rabbit
You think you're Jesus
You think you're psychic
Everything has to be even and ordered, no mess.
You're afraid of the number 13
You believe that there are lizard-like aliens disguising themselves as people
You hear voices that tell you that your dead
You believe that nobody can hear you
You believe that you are invisible
You believe you have a super power
Fear of round shapes
Everything you do has to be done in 3s.
You believe you're from the future
You believe you're from the past
Pathological liar


We're going to need around 50 or so of these just in case, so keep 'em coming if you think of any!

you think you are a werewolf and like to howl at the moon
you believe you are a vampire
you think you are an alien
you are a hippie from the 60's having a drug induced psychosis

Sounds like this will make for a fun game! I will say though that Teretts (sp?) is probably the easiest to guess. If if were my game, I would probably keep with the other great phobia/mind-mess ideas you have listed.

I have to agree that Tourette's ( I found the real spelling! ) is easy to guess, but due to our love for the movie "What About Bob?" we have to have it in there. In fact, I think my hubby is going to take that one, cuz he loves the idea so much. lol
