This year I am thinking of the zombie apocalypse theme. I know I am VERY late in getting started this year. We usually start planning and creating in July or August![]()
Here is the gist of it:
outdoor party, in the woods, very cold, fire pit, scary outdoor movie, costumes preferred, bring chocolates to share, canceled if rain..below is the past two years poems. It doesn't change much, but I need to incorporate a zombie or zombie apocalypse theme into a few lines. Any help? These two poems came from help from the forum. Thanks so much!
2008 Invite Poem:
Our Halloween Bash is an Annual Affair,
You and a Friend are Invited, if You Dare.
A Word of Caution, You Should Prepare,
Brace Yourself for a Frightful Scare.
Join all Spirits By the Bonfire Blazing Bright
Push Back the Chill of Winter's Night!
Come One, Come All in the Threads of the Season.
If You Miss This Bash, Tis an Act of Treason.
November 8h, 2008
8 to Midnight, Don’t Be Late,
Be Here by Eight or Meet Your Fate.
Prepare Yourself as the Pale Moon Rises,
For A Haunted Trail Full of Surprises.
Into the Woods, Bring Blankets and Chairs,
and Chocolates to Share...
Then Get Ready for Some Halloween Scares!
Wear Your Costumes, That’s Our Request,
Honor it Not and You Will Be Dressed!
The Best Costume Will Win a Prize,
And Stand in Victory Before Our Eyes.
But That’s Not All, Before You Go,
Stay For A Scary Movie That We will Show!
So Face Your Fears and Feel No Pain,
But Remember It’s Postponed in Case of Rain!
2009 Invite:
Come One, Come All in the Threads of the Season.
If You Miss This Bash, Tis an Act of Treason.
Our Halloween Bash is an Annual Affair,
You and a Friend are Invited if You Dare.
The 7th of November Shall Seal Thy Fate,..
for the Witching Hours 8-Midnight,
Don't Dare be Late!
Though once a year, this day remains,
Our party, and still it reigns,
To rise each year, will you receive,
A trick or a treat on All Hallow's Eve?
On this night of Halloween,
What comes still remains to be seen,
Witching hour comes and goes,
Eerily through the hollows.
Join all Spirits By the bonfire blazing bright
Push back the chill of winter's night!
Into the Woods, Bring Blankets and Chairs,
Then Get Ready for Some Halloween Scares!
Wear Your Costumes, That’s our Request,
And If You Don’t, You Will Be Dressed!
The best costume will win a prize,
And stand in victory before all eyes.
Something wicked comes our way,
you can dance all night with our DJ.
That’s Not All, Before You Go,
Stay For A Scary Outdoor Movie We Will Show!
So face your fears and feel no pain,
But remember, it’s postponed in case of rain!
