So every year my self and my family host a themed Halloween Party. Also every year a friend of mine hosts a Halloween/Birthday party. Because these events often have similar guest lists and even sometimes fall on the same day we decided this year to join forces. We are throwing Halloween/Birthday party together. I am in charge of invitations.
All of my invitations are finished and sent out BUT I need additional help. In order to keep anyone that I or my family has invited from feeling awkward about going to someone's birthday party they don't know, I opted not to include the words "birthday" in the invitation thinking that my friend would just tell her guests, all of whom she is hand delivering her invitations to, that it was her 28th birthday as well.
This didn't end up going well and she was VERY offended by this and feels really left out. So in order to smooth things over, I've agreed to make some kind of an insert with my left over card stock explaining to all of her guests, who she has not yet handed her invitations out to yet, that this is ALSO a birthday party for her. I don't know how to word it at all! I'm thinking it only needs to be a couple sentences long and look like it belongs in the rest of the invitation. I need to get her done today as the party is on the 23rd!!! All mine are out and we already have 25 confirmed guests.
Another reason to to celebrate,
Its _____'s birthday too!
The halloween party will be your chance
to say.. Happy Birthday to you!!
This is just off the top of my head.. if you want to let us know what kind of invitations you have already made, we might be better able to help you come up with something that works with it.
