Hello everyone!
I am in need of some help with recipe ideas. I am throwing an Alice in Wonderland themed party this year and one of the games will be a food identification contest. So what I need are some ideas on how to make treats look one way but taste another. The idea behind this game is the baby shower game of “what’s in the diaper?” However, I need to keep with the Alice in Wonderland theme. The food doesn’t necessarily need to look terrible but taste good, it could look sweet and taste savory.
Please Help! ^_^

How about making some cupcake-shaped meatloafs (regular or mini-cupcake sized), topped with mashed potatoes ...piped on to look like frosting...perhaps decorated with bacon-bits and finely chopped green onion?

Iced tea frozen, then shaved and served in a sno-cone, topped with red-colored syrup?
Macaroni and cheese baked on a cookie sheet....then cut out into sticks, breaded (bread crumbs?) to look like fish sticks?

Meatballs? or ground up hotdogs? little smokies? or perhaps ground up (devilled) ham....shaped into meatballs, put on a (paper?) stick to look like tootsie-roll pops? Or dipped in something to look like chocolate candies?
Another idea for the iced tea.....or water (colored with food coloring).....frozen and molded into popcicles (on a stick)

Mashed potatoes (garlic or ranch flavored?) scouped into an ice cream glass or banana split dish, topped with dark gravy to look like hot fudge sauce. Hot dogs or sausages sliced lengthwise to look like bananas?

Small (hamburger, chicken, turkey, or sausage) meatballs (mixed with red food coloring) assembed and baked into a double-crust pie, to look like cherry pie?

I'm not sure about this one....but... how about a loaf of bread sliced to look like slices of angel food cake, served with (roasted?) cherry tomatoes sliced to be the strawberries.
Another pie idea.....thickly-sliced potatoes (par-cooked) and baked (with some sort of a scalloped-potato sauce, or au gratin sauce) into a double-crust pie shell, as Apple Pie
I'm trying to think of something made from a green vegetable....maybe ground up broccoli, or mashed peas, scouped into a bowl to look like mint ice cream?
What about a large (round) loaf (or 2) of a nice bread, cut into round slabs, and buttered or spread with softened/flavored (garlic / herb?) cream cheese, or another soft cheese, then layered and stacked to make a cake? The cake could be frosted with soft cheese, and decorated.

Another cake idea.....use a small sized pasta to make macaroni and cheese....baked in cake pans. The same as my previous idea....layered and stacked with soft cheese filling and frosted and decorated wtih soft cheese. (Macaronie & Cheesecake!)
