I want to create a really eerie enviroment at my party which will be in a small nightclub type venue.(If the owners permit for H&S regulations)
I have bought a few of these types of bulbs to try out at home, how could I use them at my party?
Does anyone know any crafty little tricks to make the most of these kind of things? maybe placing them behind objects to create creepy looking shadows etc.
any input is appreciated.

For any and all of my spooky parties I use TONS of glow sticks. They can be placed in cups, lined on door ledges, wedged into table decors, set behind things, dangled in groups from chairs, etc.
For added effect you can bundle them in a web-lace material. Endless possibilities.
I also use those flashing pumpkin lights. They are great and even come in color changing ones now.
Strobes set to slow are effective and less annoying. Good under tables or behind doors and plants.
If you need better lighting use rope lights in white or traditional white light strings stretched out overhead.
Swap regular bulbs for colored or black light bulbs.
Those newish flameless wax pillar candles put off good lighting and are safe!
Rope lights in orange, white or purple look great on the floor lining pathways or along the wall!
I have, indeed, no abhorrence of danger, except in its absolute effect - in terror.

The Halloween styled Christmas lights are cheap and good to use as accent lighting for on top of cabinets or areas up high.
Also use a portable flood light in a room that will be closed off from the party to cast an eerie glow under the door, or against the window.

Where did you find the big green bulb? I have been looking for some that size or a little larger. I have recessed lights in my living room area that use the big bulbs. I ordered some like that in the blacklight version for there, but would love the option of having other colors. Also did you see the thread yesterday about the florescent bulbs from Big Lots. Someone even posted a photo in her bathroom of what using just one of those looks like. Very nice....
