We will be throwing a mad scientist themed party for our kids-8 and 10 and 24 guests, so I decided to word the invitations pretty simply. The style I will be doing the invitations in is not set, so far I only bought little potion bottles that will be filled with m&ms (I will label them eye of boar, had to make it rhyme in the invite..lol). I thought about making the coffin boxes, and having the invitation scrolled up in the coffin with the bottle. I am most likely going to do the tea treatment/burning to the invites, and potion labels. I would like to do something different than the coffin boxes... but haven't thought of anything yet. i have searched the forums, and looked at many invitations-they just don't fit my theme. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

here is my invite wording: the lines in parentheses are optional, and I would like any feedback as to which sounds better, or what should be omitted- or maybe added. Thank you in advance!

(We're so happy we could SCREAM!
Why? Because it's Halloween! ) maybe?

Dr. Izzy Alive will host the event,
    ensuring hours of enjoyable torment.
    Her faithful assistant Igor,
will be there to greet you at the door.
Be sure to wear your full costume,
or be ready to face the operating room.

    (Those dressed to impress
may even win the contest!) or
(Those who are the highest scored,
will win a best dressed award!)

If you can fight the tooth decay,
feel free to take part in the candy buffet.
There will be plenty of games and fun,
to last until the night is done.
Parents are more than welcome to stay,
(and also take part in the dismay.) or ( but the rules they must also obey.)

Enjoy the enclosed eye of boar,
and join us October 23, starting at 4.
Since we will not know what may be,
    please make sure to R.S.V.P.
    (phone number)

_some kids will be asked to sleepover, and will get the following line added_

Little Sarah/max has made a request,
that you join him/her in a night of rest.
He/she would like you to spend the night,
for an added bit of fright!

I would be hesitant to add the sleepover invite only on some. Kids have a way of passing info along and this might result in some planning to stay who weren't invited. Or maybe it is a sex thing and only on the appropriate sex invites.

we've had parties like that before, and there has never been any issue with some sleeping over and others not, or invites being passed around. thanks for your feedback though.
