Hi all - we've been doing this for about 6 years now and this year I will be about 6 months pregnant. I have been asked what our theme will be this year, we don't always do one, but this year I thought it would be cute to tie pregnancy into it somehow. Have every dress pregnancy related, looking for food ideas and maybe some cute decoration ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've been searching on here already and did find bobbing for bottle nipples, thought that was cute. So any wording, or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

At Spirit, I've seen a costume prop that has an evil head that emerges from the stomach area. I don't recall the name of it, but it should be fairly easy to find.

As for the food: Don't neglect the baby carrots, baby corn, etc. Plus serve the larger items in antique style baby baskets or bassinets. Finally, since infants usually are fed foods that have been pureed, why not serve the guests dishes like applesauce, strained peaches, or other "Gerber-style" foods?

You could do a classic halloween theme with a pregnancy/baby infusion. Decorate with a big momma pumpkin surrounded by little baby ones, or do it with plastic bats/rats/spiders.

For your food you could do a puking pumpkin (morning sickness). You carve out the pumpkin and fill it out with your favorite dip, at the bottom of the page here: http://www.divinedinnerparty.com/eas...n-recipes.html

I would focus on putting a twist on halloween things. Try not to go so overboard that it becomes a halloween baby shower though.

Love that puking pumpkin, cute! I agree, I don't want to overdo it, but I do want to make sure to get the point across. Mainly looking for some cute wording for the invitations to get everyone in the baby costume spirit...
