Ok so we were at our local party city and they had a body bag with a skelly in it hanging up my 12 yr old niece was like that would be a cool cake idea we could make a sheet cake with black icing silver for a zipper then have the zipper open at the top with a skelly and write city morgue on it. My ? is how many people might take this in poor taste I have searched and havent found a cake like this anywhere online . How many of you would find that offensive or in poor taste. The baby was excited over her idea but I am just not sure.

If it's for a Halloween party with that sort of theme I think it's appropriate. If it was for... say... a retirement party, I might think twice. Plus I think it would be a nice thing for you to be able to make it with your daughter.

One reason I love Halloween so much is that it is creative.

I see nothing wrong with a cake like this. It is for a Halloween party. Go for it!

I would agree that it would be awesome. I picked up a coffin cake form myself this year, planning on using it some year as a sheet cake idea with either it open with a skeleton inside or just closed slightly with a hand sticking out.

    I like it.

Can't wait to see pictures of your cake. I think it would be absolutely fine for Halloween. I doubt anyone would be offended.
