Ok time is starting to go way to fast. Ive worked on getting things ready all year and nothings coming together. I probably wont be able to start on the haunt for another few weeks. Im planning on doing a zombie infestation theme. Once we get started hopefully we should be pretty efficient. We want as much detail as possible, but it can't cost a fortune.

I have a fake emergency broadcast almost ready to go for the preshow room, an air cannon, 2 pneumatic props, and some other stuff. The story goes something like this...

A facility owned by Viral Tec Industries was developing an experimetal pathogen which leaked. It causes mutations and severe damage to vital tissues and organs which results in zombie-like behavior. Authorities are trying to keep it contained within the facility by issuing a quarantine around the area, trapping you and your group inside.

I want to stick to the story line as much as possible using actors, broadcasts and recordings to help tell the story.

I could use scare ideas, storyline changes, atmosphere ideas, and pretty much anything else you may have. I need to get this thing figured out and start ordering stuff. Please HELP and keep this thread going! lol thanks!!!

We did this last year.

The primary decor was boarded up windows.
Body parts were strewn about.
We served ribs.

Went over very well.

The only suggestion is to cover the furniture - many guests didn't use high end stage blood that dries like acrylic, (that stuff is expensive) and they left stains and smears on the furniture
Luckily, we foresaw this problem, so the furniture was covered in plastic.

I suggest to try & make a "logo" for your fake company & have a few items (medical items) laying around with the logo on it. Sort of like the "Umbrella Corp." in Resident Evil. Maybe make a fake newspaper article that details this leak and the virus results. You could use this as an invite or just make copies of it & have it scattered about. A fake news broadcast on replay on the TV detailing the leak or even an "Emergency Broadcast Announcement" on a TV somewhere. Lots & lots of bloody body parts for sure & maybe a fake "survival kit". I'm going with a zombie theme as well but just the good old fashioned one......corpses rising from graves & zombie's eating brains & body parts. My invite will be sort of a public service announcement detailing survival of the "zombie apocalypse". Keep up posted on your progress & post pics when you can. I'll do the same & maybe we can inspire eachother!

Hows this for a logo. It's pretty clean looking right now, but ill probably make stickers and grunge it up a bit for the end product. What do you think?
