Hi Everyone, I'm planning on throwing a nice spooky dinner (to celebrate my sucessful yard haunt completion). Does anybody have any recipies that would compliment a spooky, black, ghostly dinner that they would be wlling to share?

Thanks for viewing if you did!

I made meatloaf and shaped it like a man and called it the Dead Man meatloaf. When it was done cooked, I stuck a knife in the middle like it was stabbed. Everyone loved it.

Thank you Halloweenie1. I also have some other postings on Halloween food plus I'm in the process of "digging up" some others.

I'll PM them to you if desired. I'm on a public library computer that won't recognize a USB storage device.

Size: 95.0 KBLast year at my party, I hired 4 teenagers to walk around with hot appetizers through the night, they were all friends of my son. The hit of the night was the Meat[Head - I have a better picture, I hope this shows up ok.

There's a million great recipes out there. People are just plain creative when it comes to gory/theme foods. Just look at some of the links listed already!!! But having said that, my favorite is an old quick and easy standby: THE JELLO BRAIN! qUICK, EASY, COMES IN MANY COLORS, TEXTURES, AND STATES OF TRANSLUSCENCY.

My favorite variation is the EVAPORATED MILK BRAIN. You simply replace the cold water with chilled evaporated milk. You get brains that are soft and spongy (like a real brain), have a realistic brain texture and muted real brain kinda colors. Not so sickly sweet, it jas a spongy , nicely sweet but creamy it has a spongy desert tase that is in no way rubberylike regular jello mix. For people who have never had it, it is a surprising change from what they expect of jello. Holds up better to hot and cold also. Cait

ps: We are also thinking of having a HELP party for the first time, this year after the Haunt. This is the first year we have enough help to hake it worth havibg a party.
