I have my guests bring a food item to share and this year I would like to award prizes for different catagories. Any ideas on what would be a good catagory??

"Undead Recipes" (for retro recipes that just wont die, like the jello mold)

"Little Deaths" (for sweets you'd die for. also slang for the 'Big O', which sweets have occasionally been know to induce!)

"Rest in Peas" (best savory dish)

I am going to have people bring things this year, too. This is a great idea.

I like how Zillah gave catagories names, Now how about names for Best taste, best presentation, creepiest dish, strangest concoction??

I would say something like "most ghoulish" for things like eyeball salad or undead cookies - that way you can honour those who get into the Halloween spirit with their creations!
