we've hosted a halloween party for the last 5 years and every year we try too change it up a bit...but that can get challenging when its usually the same crowd and the same house

here are a few things we've done:

    murder game
    tempt your fate
sit down dinner one year (with the freeze game during dinner)
    truth or dare bowls
scavenger hunt before arriving to party
    human bingo

all i can think of for now. so people expect 1-that we host one every year and 2-that we keep them entertained.

So ANY ideas on how to keep it fresh would be greatly appreciated

p.s...i thought of doing a witches party like some of you do which i think is so cool...but there are too many males which would be SOOO bumbed if they were left out.

Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

Tempt your fate: its all over this forum. there are different versions that everyone has kind of helped put together. its works great for any party. let me know if you cant find it.

Freeze game during dinner: this was hilarious. we all sat for dinner (there were about 20 of us) and under each plate i put a note that stated that there would be 1 person who will freeze during dinner and when you see that then you must immediately freeze because the last one to do so would be punished and embarrassed later during the party. and only 1 plate said that you had to freeze at some point during dinner. of course it was well written out. anyhow...something this simple was so funny. during our party of course the "freezer" didnt start it and i didnt know who it was. dinner was almost over and nothing had happened...so being the hostess i had to step up (lol). so i started it. it took about 7 minutes before everyone froze. and there were 2 guys at the end who just didnt get it. it was hilarious because they were being loud and telling jokes and were kinda confused why everything and everyone had kinda died out. FINALLY they noticed. i had tears running down my face from holding back the laughter.

This is what I have been doing for the last I think 6 years now. I research on-line for new ideas, new games, and new theme. I do this when ever i get a chance and print them out as well. I also go to Goodwill and get the old magnzie that would features a Halloween month theme and save the ideas I think would be worth saving. I have 3 large binder going.. Decoartions ideas, Food ideas and Games ideas. I even saved the one I made up like certain kind of trivias. This is what keeps the party new and fresh. =]

My favorite site for party games is this one:

    http://party-games.zaural.ru/party-games.html

Yeah, I know it's russian, but that's what makes it so fun to read! If you don't want to use the link, just google "party games" and it will show up within the first couple of pages. Natalya's English translations are sometimes hilarious, and there are some great games I've never heard of. I've used this site for about 6 years to get game ideas for Halloween, birthday parties, and adult parties.

I pick a theme and do all the decor/food/entertainment around that, so it looks like a totally new party. Then we get some sort of "************** each year - we've done a shot luge, rented DDR, and this year we have a psychic doing readings.
