Thread: Dracula's Haunted Castle

Hello all!! I'm going to be doing a Dracula's Haunted Castle themed bash for this year's Halloween. And we're going to incorporate some of the Dracula story as told by Bram Stoker and some aspects from the REAL Prince Vlad. I'm going to make my castle out of boxes and have purchased stone wall scene setters to cover. Each "room" will have a different theme, sort of a'la a haunted house. Outside the castle, in the "courtyard," there will be "people" impaled on stakes, just like the real Dracula did. We also have a fire pit in our yard, so going to search for an old iron pot in some of my dad's junk that he collects and have a real witch's cauldron going. Will try to post some pics when more work gets done on everything.

I have a book on Vlad that is a very interesting read.

Big Lots has a cool Dracula's Pub sign. I think I also saw one at Michaels.

Dang! I dont even know where to begin to tell you anything....... I love Vampires and no i am not talking just glittery ones. hahahahaa

LOL Yeah, I'm not much on the glittery ones either. I keep telling all my friends and acquaintances that go berzerk over this Twilight stuff if they want to watch a real vampire movie to watch Dracula or the Lost Boys. Some of my faves.

I love that you're incorporating the real Vlad. You might end up having to explain it a bit here and there because he was more brutal and vicious than this Dracula counterpart - a lot less "sexy" when he's putting heads on stakes LOL! Good luck, can't wait to see the pics!
