I saw that too!! I love the idea!! True, it would be rather costly if you go the steak route, but what about chicken? Chopped chicken shouldn't be too costly if you get it in bulk.

That's great! It feels really "No Reservations" to me...they're always eating something weird on Anthony Bourdain's show. Very cool idea...and creepy!
"Can't even shout. Can't even cry. The gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows. Knocking on doors. They need to take seven and they might take yours. Can't call to mom. Can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard."

I would also like to recommend "Eyeballs on a stick" or "Eyeball Sub Sandwiches."
They're fairly easy to make. If you want I can get you the recipes when I get home. (At the library right now)

According to the 'ible they tried many meats. So you don't have to do steak. I would think chicken would be great. I would make mine out of pork. Buy a whole loin. Then you can cut out the shapes as you go, no waste, especially since they don't have to be perfect.
And you don't have to make them rat or squirrel sized. I think for a party situation a moose or even mole size would be perfect. Just remember what kind of tail your critter requires!
