Hello all, This year I am planning a Carnival style theme for my party. The party will be held in my backyard which will be decorated as a carnival to include booths and a gypsy tent in which readings will be held. I will try to describe the booths and games I have planned so forgive me if this post is lengthy. Each guest will get 5 tickets when they arrive to be used to play the games. We plan to have scheaduled times that the "carnival" will be open. That way me my wife and kids have time to mingle and not have to stay at the booths the whole night. My idea is that should an adult lose at a game they will have to pay dearly. ( Kids don't lose no matter what So on to the booths.

booth 1) will be the "Wheel of Misfortune" I plan to have a wheel divided into 8 different colors when you spin the wheel whatever color the guest lands on he/she will have to consume a shot of that color. IE red= cinnamon schnapps etc. ( no kids play the wheel)
#2) my younger son will run the evil version of 3 card monty. I plan to give him 5 cards. 4 jokers and one ace of spades. he will have them folded slighty and then mix them up and you try to find the ace. Lose and he directs you to me at the wheel.
#3) simple ring toss game with different levels for adults and kids. If an adult misses all three ... to the wheel they go.
#4) my wife will run the gypsy thent and give the readings for those that want them.
#5) ballon pop This one is still up in the air as intoxicated people and darts have me worried.
#6) bean bag bucket throw. simple 5 buckets strectched out in a line. try to get a bean bag in each bucket. need to figure a losing point for the adults.
Might have a few more games out for the kids to stay occupied just not sure yet. But here is where I need help. My plan is that when a guest runs out of tickets they may have the chance to "EARN" more by either spinning the wheel or I plan on having a small stage set up with a spotlight overhead. My idea is that for those that are afraid of the wheel or those that dont drink they can "Act a Fool" I want to have a large jar with small pieces of paper stating highly embarrasing things for them to do. things like
    1) struct like a chicken for 30 seconds
    2) do the "Thriller" dance.
    3) act out a certain stupid death like stung to death by bees.
This is where I need help I need ALOT more highly embarrasing things that are clean as kids will be there and may have to do some of the tasks but highly funny for all of the other guests to watch.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Here's a thread where a bunch of us posted our ideas for "bad fates" for the Tempt Your Fate game. You should find some ideas there.

Here are some of the "bad fates" I have used in the past:
"up all night shot" = any shot of liquor chased by a red bull!
Pop rocks shot= mouth full of pop rocks and shoot whatever liquor you want
"Ozzy"= bite the head off a bat ( used the gummy bats with sugar blood
do the catwalk to "I'm too Sexy"
Eat chocolate covered ants=choc covered raisins
Wear an eye patch for 10 min and only talk pirate
do a madlib and then say the results in front of the "audience"
get pon-poms and do a cheer
put on some 80s gloves or whatever you have on hand ( i had a white lace dress) and lip sync to "like a Virgin"
get the yucky jelly beans (they sell a pack that has flavors like vomit and boogers as well as regular flavors) then have the person choose and eat it not knowing if they will get a good or gross one.
Take a shot with the plastic vampire teeth in. (use something that will look like blood)

Good fates were light up rings or pins, cool halloween necklaces, lottery tickets etc.

We also did carnival/circus theme last year and did a "pin the beard on the lady" game. You can have kids do this and adults. For the adults we blindfolded them, gave them a shot and then spun them. The board was a poster of a pic of a circus looking portrait of a lady I found online, printed at costco for $6 and mounted on a dollarstore foam board. Then I cut out brown beards out of construction paper and used pins, but could also use tape with the kids.

    Have fun!
Every now and then I have a quiet chat with the skeletons in my closet-just so they don't come looking for me on their own

Were doing the CARNEVIL theme also. So far we've come up with big 4x8 canvas freak show posters this is all an outside party so I can go real big. We have a wooded trail that we use every year to do scavenger hunts this will all get themed out and should be fun. If you want costume and atmosphere ideas look up theater bizzare they have it all planned out as a great freak show event.
