Monster Bash Video

My husband and I shot this over the weekend. We were going for an Ed Wood meets Fandango kind of vibe. We had some actor friends do the dialog a couple weeks ago and I made the paper bag puppets. Then Saturday night we filmed each puppet against a green screen and my husband worked his artistic magic compositing it all together.

We're hoping to increase attendance this year. Last year we had some undesirables start drama among our group of friends and they tried to sabotage the party.

We just want to let people know that the party will survive and this year will be better than ever!

The actually party website is still under construction. Our plan is to get the website totally re-vamped and then release this video to all of our friends.

***WARNING*** This video is for mature audiences. The puppets use adult language. I really hope no one is offended. It's meant to be silly.

I loved your puppets and the whole concept. Definitely recognized the Fandango aspect. Nicely done touches like the slanted text and poof clouds (or whatever you call it). I love video invites and yours is up there on the list of what I have seen. Hope this year has less of the wrong kind of drama for you. How many people do you invite?

Thanks guys! We had so much fun doing it! And I have a new found respect for Jim Henson and all the pro puppeteers out there! Making puppets talk is not easy.

The drama was stopped before last year's party, but the damage was already done. I'm positive this year will be great!

Ghost of Spookie: We usually send out about 60 invites. Some years we've ended up with close to 100 people. (this will be the 9th year) But last year we had about 8.

is it me or are there halloween-drama-queens all over San Diego? We had them at OUR party last year and the year before (why im not throwing a party this year actually). We had 20 people the first year, 80 the 2nd year, and 150 the 3rd year...it really seems that no matter how big your crowd someone will try to cause drama....
