Hubby's given me a very rousing thumb's up for this year's party. Seeing what amazing food our neighbors made for a last-minute 4th of July get together was very inspiring, so for the first time ever, we're doing a pot luck Halloween party. That right there oughtta save us between $200-$300 dollars. Excited!

So I asked myself, Self, if you could have any theme (within our given budget), what would it be? SHAG Halloween. Talk about a Swingin' Wake, baby! I've already started compiling some great music (Sinatra's "Witchcraft", Dean Martin's "Blue Moon" and for laughs, Pat Boone's version of Metallica's "Enter Sandman"), and can't wait to start on my fez-donned-shrunken-head butler prop. Shag even did artwork for Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. Lots of great ideas.

That is such an awesome idea. I've only seen his Disney-inspired artwork, but I absolutely *love* SHAG. I can't wait to see what all you come up with!
