2010 Theme... 80's???

Our annual Halloween party typically has a theme.... and some of our regular guests suggested "death to the 80's" as a theme... not as spooky as I'd like.. :S but... if more people have fun with their costumes, then that's cool.. suggestions as far as costumes/activities to go with this theme?? I always dress towards the darkness... what character could I portray??

The 80's are rich with iconic horror movie characters...Jason, Freddy, Mike Myers, The Lost Boys, any of the Stephen King flicks, etc. Found this link you could maybe use for inspiration.

The wife & I are already tentatively planning on doing an 80's sci-fi/horror theme for 2011, so I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with.

Oh, I like the Lost Boys and Monster Squad. You could also do the Zombie Thriller MJ in the red suit.

If you decide to go with famous 80s horrified, then maybe you could do characters from "Breakfast Club". I suggest Johnnie or Molly Ringwald's character. Or maybe doing a zombified 80's prom queen. Or maybe Tom Cruise from "Risky Business". Let's see, what other 80's movies. Oh, could maybe do Sloth from the Goonies.

I feel like there are a gold mine of activities or party ideas for that theme, but I just can't think of any right now. Did you already try doing a search? If I think of something, I'll post.

Oh, maybe a scavenger hunt of some kind? 80's trivia?

I'd definitely stay with a dead or zombified character from the 80s, rather than an 80s horror character. If I could find the right hair extensions I'd go as the corpse of Flock of Seagulls lead singer or perhaps Undead Boy George. Is it too soon to be Arnold Jackson from Different Strokes with a massive outward facing headwound? Hmmm perhaps it is

A few years back two of my friends dress up as zombie Mr. Rourk and Tattoo from Fantasy Island. They look unbelievable! Plus my one friend is really short so he nailed the Tattoo. Zombifying the A-Team might look cool? Whatever you choose, let us know....

I like a "Fantasy Deadland" idea! Tattoo:"The plot, the plot!" lol!
