Well....On the good side, I may have my OWN place if I can get all the paper work filed through Section 8 Housing. (Housing for low-income families.....usually located in the worst 'hoods around here)
The bad Hood thing doesn't bother me, I've dealt with a lot and it doesn't scare me lol. So that means I can have my own house to decorate as I please for Halloween!
However, I dunno how much decorating I'm gonna wanna do...considering I just found out that I'm gonna be a Mommy. I don't know exactly how far yet, but I'll find out the 23rd when I have my first Ultrasound. They dated that I SHOULD be around 9weeks, but I'm not positive yet.
So....by October I should be into my 4th month....Parents out there, How sick do you feel around that time? I dunno if I'm gonna feel like doing anything, but I really want to have a Halloween party. Rawr I dunno lol.
I also don't really know what kind of theme I want to do, and what to serve. Usually I have party plans out the yin-yang, but now that I have a little one on the way, I have no clue what to do. I could offer alcohol, but I can't touch any of it
Suggestions are welcome!!!

Congrats, both on the house and the new baby! Every pregnancy is different, but for me I was only mildly nauseaous, but incredibly exhausted until around 12-14 weeks. After that I felt terrific, until the last 6-8 weeks that is. I've known a few women who were sick every single day of the pregnancy and I've known some who never even had the slightest hint of morning sickness. It just depends!
As far as a party, do as much or as little as you feel like at that time. I guess when I've thrown parties when I was pregnant, it was pretty much the same as it would have been when I wasn't pregnant except I was the only one not drinking the booze, and I may have ended the celebration a bit earlier than I normally would have. I had a fantasy football draft party at my house one year 2 weeks before I gave birth. It was exhausting, but fun!
I would just see how you feel a little closer to September/October.
Congrats again!

Thank you! So far, I haven't had any nausea, with the exception of RIGHT NOW cuz I haven't eaten yet. The only thing that has changed with me being pregnant is that I've been so tired lately. I've been having trouble actually getting myself to eat as well. I only eat a few bites and then I can't stomach any more, and I don't think that's healthy. I have appointments out the wazoo for drs and WIC and low income stuff so hopefully they can tell me something.
Thank you for the info, hopefully by then I'll still feel good enough to want to participate in Halloween. I'm still thinking of themes. This is the first year that my costume isn't going to be gory. My friend Hannah had the idea for me and her to dress up as Mermaids while our friend Jimmy (my babydaddy) dresses up as T-Pain. Watch the video for Lonely Island - I'm on a Boat to get that joke lol.

I was sick as a dog for the first three months, but by the fourth month I felt great. That's a good time, morning sickness is usually gone, and you're not too big and uncomfortable yet. congrats!

I was the same, S.V - exhausted in the first tri-mester and then during the second you couldn't keep me still! I think you should have more than enough energy for the party, and I think you should do what you can and enjoy it, because future Halloweens won't be as simple!
Congrats on the baby, the new housing situation and keeping everything down!

Same with me, lots of tired the first trimester and whoo hoo I was full of energy the second. Of course be careful having energy doesnt mean you should run yourself ragged. Now is the time to sleep, and rest, and eat! Enjoy your time and dont over do it with the Halloween preparations. I know its important and I would never trell you to forget it but this is a special time that you should enjoy and treasure because once that little Haunter of yours appears ......well lets just say make piece with being tired....you are going to be tired for the next 20 years
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

Congrat on the home and the Baby. Yes everyone is different, for me with my son, I was sick the whole bloody 9 months! that wasnt fun but I had the GLOW the whole time. I enjoyed and also laughed myself sick the whole 9 months.
It all depend on how much you can do for halloween and what you want to do and what help you can get. GOOOOOOD LUCK!!!!

Well, for the theme of a party why not tie it into your pregnancy? Evil Nursery or Rosemary's Baby? I already have a visual of what could happen with that....hehe.
