last year i had a theme of a grave yard and sent out cardboard coffins invitations, my invitations are one of the many highs of the party, template of martha stewart, this year i am having a rocky horror theme, am stumped for ideas......thinking of making a video with the narriator telling party times, maybe sending test tubes with scroll of paper inside with party times,...........any good? any ideas would be great.

You could easily find an image of the lips from the opening sequence and make up a paper invite, I like to print postcards through Vistaprint.

More tactile ideas could be wax lips,

cut out small versions of Brad's giant man panties or Rocky's gold lame' briefs

make a paper corset card that really laces together like Frank N Furter wears - you could have guests undo the laces to open the invite and see the party details.

You could get bras & panties at the $1 store and iron the details on them, or write directly on them.

Fish net, with rips or holes, over the the top of the card saying
"What ever happened to Saturday night?"
With the lips inside, big- covering both pages, giving the information.

A disc with lips doing a Science Fiction type invite would probably be the coolest, but most difficult.

I think the invites with the narrator would be cool if you could get a voice close to the movie's narrator. But I think the lips would be more obvious, they're the main picture everyone seems to know or associate with rocky horror.
If you wanted to do postcards or card invites I think it would be neat to have one cut out around a picture of frankenfurter, where he is in the green doctors gown, gloves and covered in blood...
