Pumpkin - Bread pudding? Just came across the recipe, it was bread pudding with canned pumpking added to it. When I first saw the recipe I thought it would be made out of Pumpkin bread.
anyone ever try it?

Man cannot live on bread alone.... (unless he is in a cage and that is all you feed him.)

I've never tried it, but I do believe in one of the Martha Stewart Halloween magazines (last year's?) she had a recipe which did use pumpkin bread.

Sounds good to me! I will try anything pumpkin flavored once.
They were selling pumpkin bread kits last year that made two loafs.
It was really good! I also had pumpkin cheesecake at Busch Gardens also really good!

I've never tried it either, but my other half, Mr. Nightmare, loves pumpkin, so I will definitely try it! I did make some pumpkin butter last year that was a hit. I'm not a big fan of pumpkin myself... but I'll make anything for Mr. Nightmare! Mr. Nightmare got me that Martha Steward magazine which is awesome!!! I wanted to make every single thing in there!!!

Pumpkin & zucchini bread are staples around here, but I've never done a bread pudding with either. Hey, why not? Will give it a whirl soon- thanks for pointing me in that direction.
BTW, for any who don't really care for pumpkin all that much (texture, flavor), try adding some sweet potatoes to whatever pumpkin thing you're making- steamed or baked ones, not canned. You might be pleasantly surprised. Spices are so important too, of course- I tend to go heavy on the nutmeg, but that's just me.

Thank Marie Roget, I will try that! Mr. Nightmare loves those too, so I will definitely try that! Maybe some sweet potato and pumpkin butter even!

You're welcome, MrsNightmare. Some members of my family aren't that keen on pumpkin either. Experimenting a bit with adding other ingredients to pumpkin dishes has helped in that dept.
