This is my first time sharing my haunt with anyone...have to start sometime I guess...

It is our 4th year of parties but our 2nd annual party here in our new home. This year's theme (because I feel the need to change it every year) was Rigor Mortgage. Lots of thanks to Frankie's Girl and B Scary for help and inspiration. We felt that current events would allow us to be a bit more politically charged than we might otherwise, so husband and I chose to be Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac your zombie surreal estate team and host the open house for the evening. We served our guests out of the overgrown goremet witch's kitchen, poured them up a generous amount of 'spirits' in hopes the house would get 'souled.'

I carved up some new tombstones to help support the theme...tried the dremmel technique this time and LOVED it. So fast and near perfect results - I usually hand exacto knife them. I am hoping to add handmade animatronic props this next year as I overcome my power tool fears. Got husband to let me use the projector...we used Hallowindow's eye of fire...neighbors think I am trully a bit 'off' now.

Here are some pics of what I did

Fun theme & great looking decor (love the Halloween-hue'd tulle from the chandelier!). Overall well done - looks like it was fun!

I love your sign...I wish people would quit coming up with different designs so I can make up my mind what style to use

really beautiful...your "set dressing" is very lovely. you clearly have an eye for composing a scene and keeping the eye moving around a grouping of objects. not easy and something that would help a lot of haunters keep their scenes interesting to look at.

    love it!

I LOVE the "Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac" reference. Back in 2009 a "Fannie Mae" and "Freddie Mac" tombstone made it into our collection. LOL
