Default 5th Annual Halloween Party! (with pictures!)

So I finally got my pictures color corrected and ready to post! I've been waiting to finish that before posting about my party.

We had a smaller turnout than usual but everyone I've spoke to has said that it was the best one yet. We played Tempt Your Fate (the balloon popping version) and it was a big hit! I will definitely do it again next year but it needs some tweaking - I couldn't do anything for having to be there to monitor the game. I got no relief until all 70 balloons had been popped! Each person that "tempted fate" and did what their slip said got an entry into a prize drawing. When all the balloons were gone I drew a name for the winner. The prize basket consisted of a nice Halloween throw from Target (black with burnished skull and crossbones all over), a Poison flask, a silver skull bottle opener with red jeweled eyes, a bag of Ghiradelli chocolates, two purple martini glasses with bats on them, and a $25 gift card to the movie theater. People were fighting over the balloons to be able to put their name in the drawing!

Once again, there was only one entry for the Best Decorated Pumpkin contest, so I'm just going to stop having that one. Apparently my crowd just isn't into pumpkins.

I didn't have a lot of money this year so I couldn't really build/buy a bunch of new props. So I used my time to collect a bunch of strange things and turned the front office into a "Cabinet of Curiosities". It went over well and no one seemed to mind that there weren't any new props.

Anyway, I'm going to post a few pictures of the decorations and all the others can be seen here:

Enjoy!

Looks great Rikki! Are those foam pumpkins? They look so crisp, I keep meaning to try them since I have zero "real" pumpkin carving skills, and it would be nice to keep them from year to year
