Greetings fellow lovers of Halloween! What a PHENOMENAL Halloween party we had Saturday night. Our “Pirate Fright Night” theme went over superbly well, all our friends were excited to dress in the theme and it was SO EASY to find props to match a pirate theme= I highly recommend it!! We had everyone bring a bottle of rum and had a “Rum Tasting Bar” which went over so well. I wasn’t sure if people would really like it or not but it was a HIT and a lot of fun. It really loosened everybody up and made for a wild night! We had RUM jello shots too. I drank way too much but couldn’t help myself. We played Tempt your fate with a roulette wheel and had red as good fates, black as bad fates. It was a riot and a blast! We had people “walking the plank” in the middle of our living room with a blind fold on. What a riot! We had one guy have to start singing “Row row row your boat’ and everyone joined in, what a great drinking song! We took video this year and about 5 minutes of footage which was good except you can hear me hooting and hollering in the background like a crazy person! Some incriminating evidence! We made a “corpse” for food- everybody loved it and devoured it. Nobody brought food which was nice because usually the first hour I’m dealing with taking care of the food people bring, heating thing up, finding places for food- it worked out so much better to take care of the food ourselves.

It was the best party we ever had!

You have tempted fate and the fates dislike your sharp tongue. You must eat the tongue given to you by the hostess with one other guest to redeem yourself.

Your have tempted fate and bad luck has found you. You lost all your teeth from months at sea. See the hostess for your substitute teeth you can wear.

You have tempted fate, and fate is dismal. You have been sold into slavery. You shall be handcuffed to a chair for 15 minutes.

You have tempted fate and the fates are angry at your aloofness. You must create a pirate themed pick up line and use it on someone you like in the room (it can’t be your significant other!).

You have tempted fate, the fates are not in your favor. You must hold a pose like Captain Morgan for 5 minutes.

You have tempted fate, the fates are tired of your always honest ways. You must steal an item from a guest without them realizing it in the next hour. Bring it to your host as evidence and your fate will change.

You have tempted fate, they feel you are not true to your pirate nature. You must talk like a pirate for 10 minutes.

Rum tasting and walking the plank in the livingroom....sounds like a great party! lol

For my husband's bday we have beer tastings and we usually buy all of the beer. But this year I am going to steal your idea and ask our guests to bring the beer instead.

That looks like a BLAST!!!
