I just finished up my scout Halloween party. The plan was to have it here at my house since the church we normally meet at was having trunk or treat tonite. I volunteered because well my house is already decorated and everyone else said they'd bring the food and the plan was to do it outside. It RAINED!!!!!! of course. I thought we might have a very few people show for it. We did and boy did we I bet there were at least 60-70 or more people in my house tonight. It was soooooo crowded in almost every room that people couldn't even walk. I am amazed I have NEVER had a party with that big of a turnout. My house is two floors and fairly large but the downstairs is under construction so that only left the upstairs for useable space. It is 3 bedrooms a kitchen (with an eat in dining area) and a living room and one bathroom. The kids had loads of fun but we actually had to feed everyone in shifts from smallest to largest. It was so chaotic. I enjoyed myself but I can honestly say (first time ever for a Halloween Party) that I'm glad it's over :P.

    Congrats on the successful party!

I hope your construction will be done soon because I think you are going to have a big turnout next year.

Thanx I can only imagine next year. I'm almost cringing at the thought of more people than this one but if we could spread out more I would be much happier with the idea.

A fellow scout leader! Great that you hosted a party for thr kids. We do a Halloween Pack meeting every October and they love it! Kids and parents dress up, traditonal Hallowen games, prizes for costume and a toilet paper mummy wrap contest! Sounds like you had a great time.

Hey- sounds like a fabulous time. I bet the kids had a blast! I actually work for BSA (for 21 yrs now!) but don't have anyone in scouts yet. My little one just turned 7- maybe next yr we'll join.
